Four Government Officials Have Been Sanctioned Under The Tennis Anti-Corruption Program

The International Tennis Agency today confirmed that four officials have been suspended for violating tennis anti-corruption programs.

The three men - Lithuanian Edvinas Grigatis, Georgian Ghibi Kudoani and Armenian Arsen Mobsyyan - were sanctioned by independent anti-corruption hearing officer Yanni Sublière, while Austrian official Manuel Spurger accepted sanctions agreed directly with ITIA after being convicted of match-fixing in an Austrian criminal court in cooperation with the Austrian authorities.

Grigaitis, a national-level official, was suspended for three years for four TACP violations, including delaying or manipulating scoring data input for betting purposes, facilitating betting and conspiring to commit crimes. 실시간 바카라사이트

Alongside the TACP's three major violations, Grigaitis was accused of betting on a tennis match that they were not involved in. The suspension will take effect from December 15, 2023, ending at midnight on December 14, 2026.

AHO Soublière was found to have collaborated between Khudoiani and Movsisyan, national-level officials, on a plan to manipulate scoring data for the 2019 and 2020 games for betting purposes. Khudoiani was found to be responsible for 15 TACP violations, and Movsisyan was found to be responsible for six.

Kudoanini received a 14-year suspension and a $25,000 fine, while Mobsyyan received a 5-year suspension. The two were provisionally suspended from July 14, 2021, and the amount of time they served in a provisionally suspended state during the course of their investigation and case is recognized for their period of eligibility. As such, Kudoanini's suspension ends at midnight on July 13, 2035, and Mobsyyan's suspension ends at midnight on July 13, 2026.

Spurger is a national-level civil servant who is the subject of a match-fixing lawsuit in the criminal court in Innsbruck, Austria, and admitted to manipulating scores for betting purposes in 2016 and 2017.

The ITIA charged Sperger with 12 criminal charges under the TACP, including manipulating score data inputs for betting purposes and facilitating betting. Sperger admitted the crime and accepted the agreed sanctions of a seven-and-a-half-year suspension, waiving his right to be heard in front of an independent AHO.

The suspension will take effect on December 18, 2023, and will end at midnight on June 17, 2031. In addition to the suspension, Sperger was fined $25,000, of which $18,750 was suspended.
